I am glad to say that Mazdax, as the first digital asset platform, succeeded in obtaining the Iranian SEO Sandbox license to tokenize Charisma funds from the Securities & Exchange Organization (SEO). Hassan Farajzadeh, Executive Vice President of the Securities & Exchange Organization, announced that “the financial asset tokenization project has obtained the necessary permission to be implemented in the capital market test environment (sandbox).”
He added that this license has been granted for implementation for 6 months after numerous reviews of technical, money laundering, jurisprudential, legal aspects, and it is possible to extend it for another six months with the approval of the governing council.
Farajzadeh stated that in this plan, one of the financial institutions is considered as the executor, and a fintech company (Mazdax) for tokenization of financial assets.
“In this plan, the investment units of three funds: commodity, fixed income, and Stock, are the basis of tokenization, and tokens will be issued for a certain amount of investment units.”
I believe this decision is an important step in the capital market and the further development of the security token sector in Iran.
